    Food Week Kick Off Celebration

      • Taste Panel - Building 120 Lawn (Newell Drive) | 8:30AM - 1PM
      • Visit the Food Week information booth on the Lawn @ the Taste Pannel to learn about planned activities. Join the Food Science & Human Nutrition Department and FSHN Student Club in a week-long event of food-related demonstrations, research, community service, and food.

      • Sign up to learn the science behind Mermaid Donuts created in the FSHN lab
        • In this hands-on experience, students will learn the science behind donut-making while making their own donuts from scratch in the FSHN pilot kitchen. The best part: you eat what you make! So bring your appetite and sign up here!

      • Join us at the Reitz Union Breezeway for a FREE refreshing drink developed in the Food Science & Human Nutrition Department:  Beverage Research Unit. Share your taste preferences in our sensory analysis and review real time data of the people's choice.

      • Enjoy FREE samples and learn the science involved in creating kombucha, a fermented and sweetened tea. Share your taste preferences in our sensory analysis and review real time data of the people’s choices.

      • Come observe the hands-on demonstration of how Impossible Meat From Plants makes their products.  Demonstrations begin at: 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 1:30.

    Join the FSHN Student Club for a tour of the Field & Fork Farm. The tour highlights include harvest ready produce, student research, and volunteer experiences. The tour will be followed by a picnic for participants.

    Chili Cookoff & Fundraiser

      • Come out to sample contestant’s best chili recipe while donating to the Field and Fork Farm…chili dog anyone?!

    Free Cookout (Research Symposium Attendance Required)
