Biography
Dr. Turner joined the FSHN faculty in 1996 with a Teaching and Extension appointment. She is currently serving as Graduate Coordinator for Nutritional Sciences and previously served as Undergraduate Coordinator for the department. From 2006 through 2024, she served the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences as Associate Dean, Senior Associate Dean, and Dean.
Dr. Turner co-authored two popular textbooks, Nutrition and Discovering Nutrition. She has been recognized for teaching excellence by the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA), and the USDA Excellence Awards for Teaching in the Food and Agricultural Sciences.
