Biography

Dr. Mathews’ research goal is to discover and disseminate interventions to promote nutritious eating and prevent chronic disease. Dr. Mathews conducts community and clinical studies to promote positive lifestyle behaviors to address obesity and weight management, food insecurity, and for those at high risk for chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, and diabetes.
