What is a Dietitian Nutritionist?  Join the panel discussion to learn how these health professionals provide specialized dietary guidance and what services are provided on campus. Topics will include: nutrition services offered on campus, pathways into dietetics, body image, popular/fad diets, social media (influencers/health coaches vs dietitians), healthful eating on campus, nutrition and preventative health. Questions will be strongly encouraged!

  • Do you want to help fight food insecurity while showing off your master building skills?  Join the fun as teams construct a UF related structure from food items/cans for judging.  Upon completion of the event all food items will be donated to the Field & Fork Pantry.  There is no maximum or minimum limit on food items per structure.

  • Have you ever wanted to channel your inner Food Network Chef?  Grab a partner and submit your entry for a chance at Team Master Chef Glory…with a twist. Teams will showcase their culinary brilliance with items from the Field & Fork Pantry in this one hour cooking competition. Spectators are welcome at the FSHN Pilot Plant (FSN Bldg #475 on the campus map)

  • Join University of Florida's Dr. Beth Gankofski (Director - Undergraduate Dietetics Program) and Mrs.  Kohrine Hazim (Dietetics Program Coordinator) to explore the discipline and learn what it takes to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).  Please watch the prerecorded presentation prior to attending this live and virtual Q&A session.

  Chili Cook Off and Lunch (FSHN Club Fundraiser)

  • Come show off your best chili recipe or come ready for lunch. This FSHN Student Organization Fundraiser will be showcasing chili recipes. Feel free to participate as a contestant or purchase a bowl of delicious chili for $5, or chili dog for $2, once the judging is completed.  25% of all proceeds will be donated to The Children's Table in Bronson, FL.  The Children's Table is a not for profit organization serving North Central Florida with free emergency food as well as sharing the cost of food for low-income families.

The Children's Table is a not for profit organization serving North Central Florida with free emergency food as well as sharing the cost of food for low-income families.
