Meet the 2013 MS-DIs!

Jeanine Beatty

Jeanine Beatty received a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Florida. She served as newsletter co-chair for the Gainesville Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics from 2011-2012, an organization of which she is still an active member. Jeanine has a strong interest in clinical nutrition with a focus in pediatrics. She is from Lake City, Florida, and enjoys being active outdoors, playing the piano and trying new things.

Erica Bub

Erica earned her Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition with minors in Business Administration and Education from the University of Florida. Erica is a member of the Gainesville Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics where she served as National Nutrition Month Co-chair from 2011-2012. Erica has interests in clinical nutrition as well as working with addictions, particularly eating disorders. Erica grew up in West Palm Beach, Florida. In her free time, she enjoys exercising and spending time with her family, including her two dogs and two cats.

Jonathan Holzinger

Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Florida. Jonathan is a member of the Gainesville Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics where he served as the Student-Liaison chair from 2011-2012. Throughout his undergraduate and graduate education, he has been an active member in Circle K International, a service organization. He has compiled over 300 hours of community service in the Gainesville community. After graduation, Jonathan plans to stay active in the community and work in a position where he can improve the health of his community. Jonathan was born and raised on the coast of southwest Florida in Bonita Springs. In his free time he enjoys watching Gator athletics, playing sports, and fishing.

Stephanie Meyer

Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology from the University of Florida. Stephanie is a member of the Gainesville Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics where she served as the Newsletter Co-chair from 2011-2012. She has a strong passion for fitness, as well as nutrition. Throughout her undergraduate and graduate education, she has worked as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer. Upon graduation she hopes to work in a setting where she can combine her love of nutrition and fitness to enhance the lives of her clients. Stephanie was born and raised in Plantation, Florida. In her free time she enjoys being active, baking, and doing crafts.

Sarah Glenny Schmidt

Sarah earned a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition with a minor in Leadership from the University of Florida. Sarah is a member of the Gainesville Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics where she served as National Nutrition Month Co-chair from 2011-2012 and undergraduate student liaison for the UF Food Science and Human Nutrition Club from 2010-2011. Sarah also served as the Vice President of Dietetics for the Food Science and Human Nutrition Club from 2010-2011. Upon graduation, she hopes to use her leadership skills in both clinical and outpatient settings. Sarah was born and raised in Ocala, Florida. In her free time, she enjoys working out, cooking, and traveling.
