Outstanding New Faculty - Michelle Danyluk
Dr. Michelle Danyluk (Assistant Professor),
Citrus Research and Education Center, is one
of two recipients of the Richard Jones
Outstanding New Faculty Research Award for
2011. This fund is designed to support
outstanding assistant professors as they build
their research programs, and is awarded to
young faculty who demonstrate high research
productivity in their first three years. Dr. Danyluk’s research
program focuses on the microbial safety and quality of juices,
fresh fruits, vegetables, and tree nuts; the development and
validation of methods to evaluate the behavior of foodborne
pathogens; and microbial risk assessment and risk analysis. She
is also an Extension Specialist for citrus.
