Giving
Be a FSHN-Gator Booster!
Like higher education funding everywhere, budgets are extremely tight and increasingly we are going to need to look to our friends and alumni to help contribute to the mission of FSHN. We are now in the process of finalizing a 5-year development plan for FSHN which will include targeted funding in the following categories:
-
Enhancing undergraduate and graduate student opportunities (Scholarships, assistantships, travel grants, etc.)
-
Contributions to teaching and research efforts (Teaching grants, endowed professorships, etc.)
-
Pilot Plant Renovation
-
Food and Nutrition Annex Building Project (new food and nutrition research labs and classrooms)
We will recognize all gifts to the department with recognition in departmental newsletters and a plaque recognizing significant contributions to FSHN – this plaque will be on display in the FSHN lobby and recognition can be made in the donor’s name or to recognize a special advisor or teacher from FSHN. Contributions earmarked for specific purposes (e.g. scholarships, travel awards, building funds)will be permanently labeled with the donor’s name.
Please contact Dr. Neil Shay in the FSHN office if you would like to make a special contribution to the FSHN department. Contributions earmarked for FSHN can be made directly from this webpage by following this link to the University of Florida Foundation – submitted on line, your gift will be automatically earmarked for FSHN: Contribute to UF-FSHN
