Dr. Gail Kauwell

Research:

Dr. Kauwell’s research program focuses on folate and vitamin B12 assessment, metabolism and requirements in humans, with a special interest in learning more about the association between nutrient-gene interactions and epigenetic modification in health maintenance/chronic disease risk. Strategies for improving knowledge and behavior among women of reproductive potential with regard to folic acid intake is another research interest.
