Application Deadline and Fee
The application process is a multi-step process. ALL application materials must be received by DECEMBER 5, 2008. The Graduate School application fee is $30.00. There are no other application fees.
Graduate School Application
(Required for all MS-DI program applicants regardless of emphasis area)
Complete the Graduate School application:
- Online: (http://www.isis.ufl.edu/cgi-bin/nirvana?MDASTRAN=RSI-INTROG): Complete and submit online; the application fee ($30.00) can be paid online with a credit card; arrange for other materials to be sent per the instructions listed on the Graduate School Web site (i.e., official transcripts, official Graduate Record Examination scores, etc.)
- Offline: (If not able to submit online application). Print a copy of the Graduate School application from the University of Florida Graduate School Web site and complete it offline; send one copy with the application fee to the Graduate School and one to the Food Science and Human Nutrition Department per the instructions listed on the Web site and arrange for other materials to be sent per the instructions (i.e., official transcripts, official Graduate Record Examination scores, etc.)
- Mail: Materials to be sent to the Graduate School should be mailed to the following address:

Food Science and Human Nutrition Department Application
(Required for all MS-DI program applicants regardless of emphasis area)
- Submit a copy of the Graduate School application only if completed offline
- Other materials to be submitted to the FSHN Department include:
- Official Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores
- Official transcripts (unopened) from all schools attended
- American Dietetic Association Dietetic Internship Application form (available online at http://nutrition.tufts.edu/docs/ada.doc)
- “Letter of Intent” providing a clear description of career goals, research interests, and how completing this program corresponds with your career goals. (Only typewritten or word processor generated letters are acceptable.)
- Original copy (not photocopied) of your ADA Verification Statement or Declaration of Intent to Complete Degree
- Three letters of recommendation, including the standard ADA application evaluation form. Letters may be mailed separately by the individuals writing them or included in your application materials. All letters must include an original signature and be sent in sealed envelopes with the signature of the evaluator written across the flap of the envelope.
- There is no application fee for this portion of the application.

Sports Nutrition Assistantship Application
(Required for Sports Nutrition emphasis applicants only)
Sports Nutrition applicants also must submit a separate application packet to the University Athletic Association that contains the following materials:
- Cover letter addressing your interest in Sports Nutrition and the experiences and personal qualities you would bring to this setting
- Resumé
- Three letters of recommendation (original copies of the same letters sent to the Food Science and Human Nutrition Department may be used for this purpose)
